Unveiling the Truth: Addressing the Double Standard in Baby Cereals Sold in Africa
January 19, 2026CADEF Participates in Consumers International Member Connect on Rising Costs for Consumers
January 19, 2026In celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day, the CADEF team paused to reflect on what makes our nation remarkable, from its people and their relentless “naija spirit”, to its unyielding capacity to rise above every challenge. To commemorate the day, we gathered the voices of our team in a heartfelt video compilation, each person responding to one simple but profound question:
“As Nigeria turns 65, what are you most grateful for?”
What emerged was a collective portrait of hope and an affirmation of the qualities that continue to define Nigeria despite adversity.
Across every response, one theme echoed powerfully: our strength lies in our resilience. We are a nation that never gives up, even when the odds are steep. From young Nigerians who continue to innovate and build, to communities that support one another with compassion and courage, our collective spirit remains one of our greatest national assets.
At CADEF, Nigeria’s journey is deeply personal to our mission. We believe that a strong nation is built when citizens are informed, protected, and empowered to participate fully in shaping their future.

As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, we recommit ourselves to standing with consumers, amplifying citizen voices, and advocating for systems that are fair, inclusive, and accountable.
Together, we can build a Nigeria where rights are protected, voices are heard, and every person has the chance to thrive.
Partner with us as we continue working toward a stronger, fairer Nigeria.
