Valentine’s Day Celebration with PWDs in collaboration with Ogbara Khafilat Foundation
On February 14, 2025, the Ogbara Kafilat Foundation, in partnership with Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation, hosted a remarkable Valentine’s Day celebration at Funplex Place, Magodo, dedicated to People with Disabilities (PWDs). The event was a testament to the power of love, inclusion, and advocacy, bringing together individuals from all walks of life to celebrate the abilities and potential of PWDs.
CADEF’s Contribution: Empowering PWDs to Maximize their Potential
Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation (CADEF), represented by its Executive Director, Prof. Chiso Ndukwe-Okafor, played a pivotal role in the event. Prof. Ndukwe-Okafor delivered an empowering session titled “Maximizing Potential & Productivity.” She emphasized that PWDs are not merely dependents but individuals with immense purpose and potential.
Using practical examples, Prof. Ndukwe-Okafor demonstrated how PWDs can leverage technology to unlock amazing opportunities, build skills, and contribute meaningfully to society. Her message was clear: “Look inward, tap into your skills, and explore the endless possibilities of what you can achieve.”
CADEF’s Ongoing Efforts for PWD Inclusion
CADEF’s participation in this event is just one example of its broader mission to advocate for the rights and inclusion of PWDs. Through awareness campaigns, educational programs, and partnerships with organizations like the Ogbara Kafilat Foundation, CADEF continues to push for policies and practices that ensure PWDs are not left behind in Nigeria’s digital and economic transformation.
