Thematic Area: Consumer Rights and Social Inclusion
Every Nigerian deserves to be an informed and empowered consumer. Consumer rights are essential for ensuring fair market practices, access to quality goods and services, and protection from exploitation.
However, social inequalities can leave many Nigerians vulnerable in the marketplace. Limited access to education can make it difficult for consumers to understand product information or assert their rights. Discrimination based on factors like gender, disability, or location can further disadvantage certain groups. An inclusive consumer rights movement is necessary to bridge this gap. Empowering consumers through education and awareness campaigns is crucial. Additionally, advocating for policies that promote fair competition, transparency, and consumer protection is essential.
CADEF champions consumer rights and social inclusion in Nigeria. We work to educate consumers, advocate for their rights, and hold businesses accountable. We believe that an empowered citizenry is key to building a more equitable and prosperous Nigeria.
