Greenlabs Incubation Programme

Turning Green-Tech Ideas Into Profitable African Businesses

A 9-month Incubation programme powered by Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation (CADEF) in partnership with Jacob’s Ladder Africa (JLA), empowering young African innovators in energy and food systems.

Cohort 1: Renewable Energy Revolution

Status: Completed

Our first cohort challenged young innovators to develop scalable, sustainable solutions for Nigeria’s energy access crisis. Over nine months, participants received mentorship, training, and access to networks, culminating in 13 finalists who developed market-ready clean energy ventures. Three startups secured pre-seed funding at the Demo Day.

Cohort 2: Powering Food Systems

Status: Completed

Cohort 2 is currently ongoing, with 18 innovators building renewable energy solutions that transform food systems across production, processing, distribution, and consumption. If you have an idea that could reshape how Africa grows, moves, or accesses food sustainably, greenlabs is your launchpad. 22 innovators are currently participating.
